  2. This is the website for Data Science at the Command Line, published by O’Reilly October 2014 First Edition. This hands-on guide demonstrates how the flexibility of the command line can help you become a more efficient and productive data scientist. You’ll learn how to combine small, yet powerful, command-line tools to quickly obtain, scrub, explore, and model your data.

To get you started—whether you’re on Windows, macOS, or Linux—author Jeroen Janssens has developed a Docker image packed with over 80 command-line tools.

Discover why the command line is an agile, scalable, and extensible technology. Even if you’re already comfortable processing data with, say, Python or R, you’ll greatly improve your data science workflow by also leveraging the power of the command line.

  3. This guide tries to help with debugging of SSL/TLS problems and shows the most common problems in interaction between client and server. It is not intended to help with writing applications and thus does not care about specific API's etc. But it should help with problems outside of a specific API, like different or broken SSL stacks or misconfigurations.

The guide is based on the knowledge gained as the maintainer of the IO::Socket::SSL Perl module or by debugging SSL problems at work or for fun.

  5. My name is Dan Nanni, and I am the man behind I felt in love with Linux while I was studying for my Computer Science degree in the US. I am fascinated by the strong and vibrant developer community that constantly advances the state of the art of the largest free operating system. At the same time I am also impressed by the active user community voluntarily helping each other and sharing their knowledge.

Xmodulo is pretty-much a one-man job by myself, but I do receive contributions from several excellent fellow writers once in a while. At Xmodulo, I share Linux related FAQs, hands-on tips, and tutorials, with topics ranging from Linux desktop customization, system administration, open-source tools, network security, virtualization, cloud computing, and many more that I find interesting and can get my hands on.

As the editor-in-chief, I make great efforts to ensure that every Linux tutorial I publish at Xmodulo can easily be consumed by readers with little background on the topic. Technical writers working on Linux tutorials often take pride in the fact that they tested their tutorial themselves before writing it. However, "testing before writing" alone does not make a good Linux tutorial. I always try to make sure that tutorials are written to help readers understand both "problem" and "solution" clearly. For this I always try to think from a reader's perspective. For any article contributed by fellow writers, I typically go through multiple rounds of many revisions, trying to perfect clarity and accuracy of writing. It's a tough job, but I feel enormously rewarded whenever someone says one of our tutorials helped them.

  10. PyPy.js is an experiment in building a fast and compliant python environment for the web.

It uses the PyPy python interpreter, compiled for the web via emscripten, with a custom JIT backend that emits asm.js code at runtime.

Try it out below, or see the links above for benchmarks and download information.
